Science management
Today’s competitive demands on institutes, universities and other research institutions require, in addition to the usual means of management, a strong leadership responsibility, strong personal commitment, intercultural competence and open mindedness for creativity at the workplace. More and more scientists choose this career path after completing their doctorate.
Science Management is a career opportunity many graduate students are not aware of, because it is rarely included in the MIN curriculum. The university's HR department offers a course in Higher Education Management, which provides further training in the areas of project management, communication and leadership as well as governance.
The Center for Science Management Speyer e.V. also offers training in Science Management for doctoral candidates.
